What to look for when choosing an app for football agents.
Before moving your client list to a new tool, it's worth checking a few things. This list helps you compare, whatever app you're looking at.
1. Built for agents
A generic customer management tool is fine for selling, but it doesn't understand players, club contracts or deals with several clubs at once. Look for an app that speaks your language: player profiles, deal stages and contract expiry dates.
2. Works well on mobile
Much of your work happens outside the office: at the ground, in the car or at an airport. The app has to be easy to use on your phone and in sync with your computer, so what you do on one shows up instantly on the other.
3. Quick to log things
If noting something down takes you more than a minute, you'll end up not doing it. Look for an app that lets you log your work by speaking, not just typing, and that organises what you tell it for you.
4. Your data is yours alone
Your client list and your contacts are your business. Before choosing, ask:
- Who can see my data?
- Is it used for anything other than providing the service?
- How are my players' contracts and documents protected?
- Does the AI have access to those documents?
5. In your language
If you work in another language or with markets in several countries, check that the whole app is in your language, including the voice and AI features.
6. AI that's useful, not just for show
Artificial intelligence makes sense if it saves you work: preparing what's urgent this week, giving you a player's market value or recent news in seconds, or turning what you dictate into tasks. Ask for concrete examples of what it does.
Quick checklist
- Built for agents and intermediaries.
- Mobile app and computer version, in sync.
- Voice logging.
- Private data and encrypted documents.
- In your language, including voice and AI.
- AI with concrete uses.
